Hydraulic handbrake kids atv11/13/2023 ![]() ![]() We have implemented a cylinder shape comfort grip atop the Chase Bays Hydro Handbrake handle, and it's guaranteed to leave your hand happy instead of sore. If you've used other handbrakes besides ours, then you probably experienced a sore hand. Instead, all we see is the same off-the-shelf base with uncomfortable machined handles. No one else is providing a thought-out one-off solution like ours. We have designs for stand-alone and inline style MC, with the handle being reversible for Pull-Up or Pull-Towards. The Hydro Handbrake needs to be supported 100% underneath with a steel base if our Reinforcement Plate isn’t used, and any overhang should be supported from underneath so that the Reinforcement Plate or custom base cannot flex. It's even pre-tapped for the supplied hardware. The factory trans tunnel metal flexes too much, so we're offering a steel plate that matches the handbrake base shape. The Chase Brake Hydraulic Handbrake has zero shimmy on the handle. Other hydraulic handbrakes shimmy in all directions from poor machining tolerances (which creates longer throw from wasted space), and the entire assembly flexes on the tunnel since they lack the proper installation hardware. This was huge for us when designing a handbrake. The increased aesthetics of its minimalism is a nice plus too! Ours is over 2" inches shorter than the current popular options. We wanted the ability to install under factory center consoles, and others on the market do not allow for this. Read on to learn how we fixed these common issues.īy using a side mount or sideways mounted master cylinder, we've created the most compact base and master cylinder mounting available for hydraulic e-brakes. If you've experienced these issues or you want to avoid them, then you're on the right page. ![]() They were too bulky, had poor design, created a large amount of play or shimmy in the handle, extremely uncomfortable on the hand, too hard to pull, and incomplete package (aka missing important components). When we set out to design the perfect handbrake, we took in all the aches and pains of other performance handbrakes, and here's what found. We've carefully combed through every detail of this product to provide the most compact, stable, comfortable, and simple solution for adding a hydro e-brake to your car. The Chase Bays Hydraulic Handbrake design has many unique features. For race cars only however no permanent modifications are required. ![]() The Gktech brake lines that are available in this kit have passed independent testing and are marked as complying to FMVSS106 standards, this means they continue to be ADR approved and are DOT compliant. Total install time should be around 30 minutes. Simply remove the standard line between the master cylinder and the rear main line and connect the new braided lines up to the handbrake master cylinder and back again. Our kit is cheap, super easy to install and is reversible with no permanent modifications. We developed these kits after many customers request for an in-line kit. The stainless steel braided lines included are assembled by us in-house in Australia using quality UK made fittings and braided stainless steel, teflon lined lines. The reason we call this a "budget" kit is that we are using a generic handbrake handle, assembly and master cylinder as opposed to our pro kit which is a stand alone uses our proprietary assembly, an expensive CNC machined aluminium/carbon fibre handle, Wilwood master cylinder and with all the required parts costs a minimum of $500-$700 to set up. The in-line kit runs through your existing rear calipers and with the inclusion of the braided lines in this kit, is a direct fit with no modifications required. The GKTECH budget hydraulic handbrake kits are designed as a cheap alternative to our complete stand alone hydraulic handbrake setup which requires additional calipers, pads and brackets to run the extra calipers. ![]()
